Well yet again I have been tempted to prise open the old wallet and indulge in a bit of Renault retail therapy

The Smart Roadster Coupe has been deemed surplus to requirements and will be sold on to make room.

So lets play a game of guess what it is, as I did previously with the R26 and the Smart. See the photo, can you identify it? Expecting Big MVS to get it, Miles you can't play as you know what it is already

Yep spot on again Martin, you are good at this It is a 2008 in Ultra Red, FSH, just a few little spots of road rash on the front, an interior that looks immaculate, goes and stops well. Mileage a bit high at 120k not so high for the year I guess, it comes with 3 months warranty and all for the princely sum of £2199.

So the little beast has been bought to charge up Prescott Hill in 2020 at the La Vie en Bleu and prior to that the Prescott driving school early May 2020, then I aim to compete elsewhere.

So I will be looking for guidance concerning classes to enter, what licences are needed and if my helmet etc. need replacing. Simon, Miles???

That's a cracking buy isn't it, didn't realise they had depreciated so much recently. Enjoy competing next year mate.

For "speed" events which is Sprints and Hill climbs, you have a great car for that.
First, you need to be a member of a Motorsport UK affiliated club. RAOC is that.
if you join a club, you will get access to 1 maybe 2 events a year.
If you join a championship, you get access to 25+ and you will be surrounded by like minded and also many other beginers too.
Join the ACSMC or Midlands championship. I am biased, because ACSMC is only £5 to enter and you will get 25+ invites for that.
Register in January.
