A310 project

Will keep you up to date with progress on this car but plan is to get it back on the road and useable In the next couple of weeks. Was running lean which I put down to lack of use and as I run fuel through it, it’s getting better with every start. Got all the lights and windows working now, just need to locate the flasher relay as hazards work but not the indicators. Couple of bits I may need JL Engineering to sort out but been a while since I’ve had a decent project and enjoying its simplicity so far.

She looks lovely. Im reviving a GTA and have has indicator issues. What follows may or may not be of any use as I have no idea if the GTAA and 310 are similar in this respect.......

In the GTA, there is a fuse box under the steering wheel with a few relays above. If you unscrew that fuse/relay compartment, there’s is a hidden row of relays inc one for hazards and one for indicators.
When I tried to pull out the relay, the innards came out leaving the case fixed to the car.
Inside were two little relays and I cleaned the contacts with electrical spray and emery paper and they now work.

So basically, the Alpine MO may be to hide the relays behind others in compartments that you have to unscrew!

As I say, the 310 may be entirely different.....

Thanks for the pointers. I found the hazard relay as that's easy to locate as it makes a noise because it works . I'll have another search tomorrow.

I've answered your other post about the indicator relay.
The main group of relays are behind the front boot liner, just above the front nearside wheel. The relay for the wiper intermittent operation is behind the washer bottle. I only found out because I was basically taking the whole car apart several years ago. As you can see form the front and back photos, you have to remove the washer bottle support to find it on the back.

I just love the way these cars are so quirky! I thought Lotus were eccentric......

Indicators now working as a replacement relay was sourced.
Door handles were not present so a temporary solution fitted.

Love Delorean too but they don’t drive very well although do have a “character” of their own. Love their looks.

New manifolds, gaskets, studs, heater valve ordered and should be here this week, I’ll post up pics when they arrive. I’ve got a Devil exhaust from Mr Dell that I’ll see if I can use as think it will suit but have few clues as to how it’s going to fit. V5 also arrived today so straight down the post office to get that changed to Historic status and hope that’s back with me soon.

Manifolds etc arrived so time to start stripping and as always one thing leads to another. Decided to take all the heat shield off and now have to decide whether to replace or have a fabricator repair where needed then have them blasted and powder coated. Some of the extra exhaust studs have been fitted and I need to chase the threads in the others before fitting them. Only one broke but it’s at the front so probably won’t tackle that with the engine in and a visit to JL Engineering at some point will see the engine out and some work in the gearbox and engine seals along with the stud. Got Devil exhaust off SD but not an simple fit unless I’m missing something so will either modify with new brackets or buy Simon Auto competition silencer which appeals but may be a little noisy?
