LeMans Classic Jul 6-7-8 2018

I see there are still blue nord 40 pitches and the yellow camping available..on the FCO site...
The blue nord ones are allocated pitches so useful if turning up late. They seem to state one car per pitch..which is different from last time I think...but I've no idea how they would regulate that.

I think Bleu Nord is where we camped in 2010, between the airfield and the circuit. They did have nominated pitches and Stephen was pitch monitor..... Not as good a site as the 2012 Karting site but it is better than sitting at home. Yellow no idea I'm afraid. Would still like to go if possible especially as my son is really up for it this year. I did mention the classic to the President at Macon and he said he will give it another push at Prescott so hopefully there is light at the end of the Channel Tunnel...

The yellow zone is beausejour..which translates to beautiful stay...perhaps a slight exaggeration...I thinks this is where we camped with raoc in 2016...and it was a dustbowl.

The bleu nord camping had 40 pitches yesterday..and will sell out soon I guess..so we would need to be quick.

My mate Tom was up for the classic..(and one reason he did not make Macon)I am too..but need to square it away at home.

Blue nord was the worst camping we ever had with unbelievable queues for toilet and showers BUT it is within walking distance to the circuit unlike yellow which is worth noting if you are in a non eligible car and can't drive to the circuit.

Whose going then?
Stuart and myself will be there Saturday anyone else.

I was keen...but due to limited interest from here..and the fact I have no other friends (who enjoy sitting in 30 yr old plastic French cars)...The pencil entry in the calendar of life has been rubbed out...and it's been replaced with kids stuff now.

Shame not to be joining you...hope you get some more takers..it is a cracking event.

I'll put a pencil entry for 2020..(blimey)

seem to remember he left way before then... like almost as the event started. on Saturday, something to do with needing to watch Coronation St or Emerdale IIRC.

oh yeh, same result, and missed the racing. lol.
