It's a hard life at the Rust face ....wish I could just polish stuff instead

Previous repairs were shite and caused most of the rot in the lhs front .
Car will have to be totally stripped at the front and I can see it being in fab and weld for a month .Only + from previous work is that the blower A/C unit was just thrown in so that came out without a fight .Loads of snapped fixings,ripped fglass and drilling out the only way .I wish I was as skilled as certain painters when it comes to removing panels and ancillaries

many spiders and earwigs. Or have they eaten the front member and moved out.

I've disturbed a fair amount of wildlife ......It's almost done now on the front end strip and will have to sit for a bit until I get time and space to remove the rearend .
Lots and lots to do ...Headlamps are out as a complete unit ...just one job on a very...very...very long list .
Major fabrication and weld up front ,sills and footwells but the rear is not too bad .
I could do with any spares anyone has lying around for A610 ?? Mr Metters & Dini ? A/C blower unit is mullered around the recirc flap area,glovebox side + any lamps,mechs for same ?

I have a complete brand new aircon mechanism and new blower fans.
Johns customer recently replaced his entire unit with a new one so might sell the old one for spares.

Sorry Lee,
sold all my headlight mechanisms (2 pairs) , but I'm sure the people I sold them to still have them as it was the motors they wanted, that said they are easy to fix and spares are plentiful from Lotus and USA sources.

Are you doing this one for a customer Lee or one you've bought?

Blimey this is one hell of a restoration glad someone has the balls to do it and not just break it for spares. Good work to all.

Sorry I only just saw this. Was it aimed at me? Probably have mechanisms too but may still be in storage. Got some van runs to finish unloading and will let you know if they turn up.

We popped round but all the doors were shut so we just fecked with your cars a little then drove off
