Donington: World Series by Renault 10th & 11th September

This huge 2 day all Renault event is the UK leg of the World Series by Renault. It is an official Renault event run by Renault Sport.

This is the biggest event of the year for Renault Sport enthusiasts. Attendance in Zolder was over 80,000 for the weekend.

Attractions include:

Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0
Eurocup Formula Renault 3.5
Eurocup Megane Trophy (These are awesome!)
Renault F1 Team Demonstration (Bring the earplugs!)
Renault Heritage Display (Historic Collection)
Trade Stands

Celebrity drivers Jean Ragnotti, Rene Arnoux, Jean Pierre Jaussaud & Michel Leclere will all be attending and are happy to give autographs.

Further details will be here soon: http://www.renault-sport.com/en/world_s ... etings.php

Renault Heritage at the World Series by Renault
In association with the 'Renault Alpine Owners Club'

Any owners of pre-1970 Renaults and any Alpine or Renault Sport models are eligible to register for a special exhibition area. Please see http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/PHPBB/ph ... highlight= for more details of eligible vehicles.

Benefits include:

Complimentary coffee (Sat & Sun mornings)
Parking space in the exhibitors area
Admission to the vehicle parade on the circuit
Goody bag (e.g. t-shirts, models, pens, stickers, postcards etc).
Rally plate
10% discount on merchandise
Free access to all track activities
Paddock pass

If you don't have a classic or sporting Renault, don't worry, it just means parking & entry will be free for you and you can still enjoy the event.

Can we have a huge turn-out for this one please!!

It would be great if we could get every one of you with an Alpine or Renault Sport car along.

The goody bag alone is worth the 10 euro (£7) registration fee!

Further information & registration forms now available:

http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/images/I ... %20ANG.pdf

Anyone that attended one of the other WSR events will receive a letter in the post shortly. Otherwise just print out a copy from the pdf fill it in and send it off to me.

The event is televised and recorded so you must write 'Read and approved' under the small print before your signature. Also you must include your insurance details on the registration form.

You can send simply your forms to me at the Renault Alpine Owners Club.

I'm looking forward to going, but am I being dense- do we need to pay 10 euro's in advance or on the door?- it seems odd that they won't take stirling.

I'll stand by and wait for the mails pointing out that I've read the wrong thing now!!

Thanks
Lee

At Zolder we just registered our cars at the welcome tent. No check was made that the cars were in the paddock.

Yes the forms are confusing as we are not strictly foreign visitors this time but we don't have the Euro as currency!

Just send me a cheque for £7.50 and I'll pay for them all together in Euros.

It will be too difficult trying to work out who had paid and who hasn't on the day.

Alternatively you can send or give me 10 Euros if you have any left over from a foreign excursion!

I'm meeting Christian this weekend to discuss the arrangements so will have more details them.

Works for me now! :D

Peter, the registration form says participants can apply for free parking space for a trailer. :)

Not sure about the part where they reserve the right to refuse any registered vehicle that's not in perfect condition! Is there such a thing as a GTA in perfect condition?!

You need to make a bit of an effort but really they are just looking for clean, tidy cars.

Most of the guys had the polish out for a bit of a clean up at Zolder after the run down and Shadi got most of his paintwork problems fixed before the show.
