Stephen, now my GTA is back on the road, I might be interested in attending this. When is the absolute latest I can apply and fill in the form? I need check a few things first, like if I can get the time off work etc.

Is every one planning on making thier own way individually, or are there any plans to meet up and take the same ferry and drive down in convoy? Travelling in convoy would not only be more fun but also more reassuring providing each other mutual backup!

This is another one that needs firming up urgently:

Travel via Eurotunnel to Calais. Short Stay Saver. Suggested:

Leaving 14:08 Friday 8th
Returning 22:42 Sunday 10th (last train)

£138 return

or returning 1:42 Monday 11th (first train)

£127 return

The prices have already gone up £30- 40 so this needs to be booked soon.

I will try for a block booking discount tomorrow first (Thursday 23rd June).

That means a 2 night stay:

Friday:

Depart UK. Arrive France. Drive to Le Mans. Dinner.

Saturday:

Breakfast at accomodation or circuit.

WSR Le Mans Day 1

Gala Dinner at the circuit on Saturday Night at 30 euros.

Sunday:

Breakfast at accomodation or circuit.

WSR Le Mans Day 2

Parade Laps.

Depart for Calais.

Accomodation options:

Formule 1 are now fully booked, so I am trying to book a chalet or gite where we can all stay together. This should be nicer and possibly cheaper. The advantage is that I can just pay for this to secure it and recover the money later.

Anyone that went to Zolder and does this one + Donington will reach Silver Trophy level.

If you want to do it PLEASE fill in your registration form(s) ASAP and send it to me. Please remember to add 'read and approved' before your signature.

So far:

Stephen Dell (confirmed)
Andy Holt (confirmed)

Graham Hainke (?)
Tony Law. (confirmed)
Rupert Lloyd (?)
Lee Crowston (confirmed)
Dave Williams (?)
Shadi Eddin (?)
Justin Black (cancelled)
Paul Sage (cancelled)
Simon Taylor (confirmed)

Any more?

Stephen, Availability on speedferries weeks ago for our planned times.
I'm ready/wanting/keen to book/pay for the eurotunnel ASAP before availability ceases there too, like F1.

Blah Blah blah I've only just got to work after some white van man closed the M25 today, I'm just going to book the eurotunnel NOW, it went up £4 yesterday, probably start going up more later today again.

Good luck with the Gitte or what ever, looking forward to the weekend.

Stephen, Eurotunnel declined to offer any group booking unless we had 15 cars. I've booked my crossing for the times you suggested. Friday 8th at 14:06 and return on Sunday 10th at 22:46. Has everyone else booked, before availability ceases?

BOOK NOW AS ARE PRICES GOING UP

Postby stephendell » Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:31 pm

IF YOU WANT TO GO AND HAVEN'T BOOKED ALREADY YOU SHOULD BOOK NOW!!

The return leg has been steadily increasing in price all day. It is now £100 making the ticket £172 minimum.

You can still currently get round this by booking the 21:06 return as there is 2 hours flexibility without penalty. You will then pay £148. This won't last long though so be quick!!

So that is

OUT 14:06 or 14:33 or 14:42 or 14:58 July 8th

RETURN 21:06 July 10th (£148) or 22:42 (£176) July 10th or 01:43 July 11th (£133)

All flexible EXCEPT July 11th Return

As long as we all queue up together we should still all be able to travel together.

I hope your lady loves your GTA as much as you, sounds like you will be doing quite a trip. Maybe you need a proper rest from all those kids?
All I get is "its a bit bumpy" or "you wern't doing 100 were you?" and thats it. I'll see if my good lady is up for a weekend away "en france", she'll just hate all those cars though, we'll see.......

lol, when do you ever do '100'?
