Mission Impossible again!

Hi Guys

The latest part I need to get Le Mans 03 running sweetly, (nearly there), is an Engine Management Temperature Sensor according to Renault via Gavin it is Part number 77 00 267 682.

I have checked this number and have found it in the parts book on page 11.011, and it is identified as number 25(b) on the drawing and in the legend. Can anybody confirm this to be correct or otherwise, please?

Now Renault are not very forthcoming about this part and do not indicate it is likely to be able to locate one of these little chaps for us, so does anybody have a new one or can you point me in the direction of a new one please?

While we are on about sensors can anybody identify what this guy is offering for sale on ebay, see the links please.

I would have thought that would have been available Paul, we are talking about the temp sensor which screws into the thermostat are we not?

I believe it is that one. As for availability I am going on what I was told by Gavin on what he was told by the Renault parts man. Gavin would want a new part, but if we do not have any luck then a pre-used item would be an option, thanks, I will come back to you if I need one.

looks like the right P/N

i ordered one from Mr Dell and he got me a new one last time he went to Dieppe (although it still hasnt made its way to me yet due to organising NEC) so it seems to be available.

It is also available from Reno dealer but on "long" leadtimes (4 weeks)

Thanks for that. Yes we had the "We should be able to get it for you but It might take some time" speech from he local Renault dealer, so it could be an option if it can't be sourced from elsewhere.

if you need parts that have to specificly come from dieppe and you need them quicker than a dellboy once a year run to la france.....

the UK dealer network relies on one guy bring them over to the uk before the parts are sent to the dealer where you ordered them from (the importer for all the Renault sport race parts) who visits when he needs to just like Mr D in a way but more frequently.....

it's different in France..... Alpine parts from dieppe will arrive next day or day after order to your local dealer as long as it's in stock at Alpine.....

so if you are stuck and need a part i can always order from my local source which is 2 minutes down the road and post or bring over to the UK when i visit.

Wow thanks for that. It is a bit disturbing looking at a part from Russia, have you bought from there before, will it get to me if I take the plunge?

I tried GSF, Eurocar Parts and a little Renault specialist factor in Luton quoting the part number to them. All three stated no chance!! Would the number be the same if it was a 25 Turbo part or would it be different., is that number an Alpine number or a Renault number?

Andy H suggested chatting with you about whether an A610 sensor would do the job?

tried that..... need the cyrrilic translator

It is totally different thread,plug and probably calibration .....25 is the same ,77 numbers are Renault ,60 numbers Alp .
I can try my Renault guy but if Dell and Holt come up blank then I don't hold out much hope .

Perhaps the Club could help develop a sensor replacement .Aftermarket one plumbed into a water hose would do , just needs to have the right output values tweaked to suit .
