Is there any info on the entry list so far, or even the invitation list, curious about what other cars will be there, also I have a friend with a race car that may be interested. Is there any lap timing available?
What is the format, just open pit lane or grouped by ability or track experience?
Is it a problem to arrive at 10am, imagining that the drivers briefing will have been missed?
Anything else layed on, like special lunch, pit-lane-totty or anything?

Turning up at 10 will be ok we can brief you beforehand by email, the rules are very simple . it just means you will have missed the first session that's all,

The circuit's cafe will be open sells sandwiches and chips and cold drinks..... if you want a gourmet lunch i'm afraid we just won't have the time to cook it sir.

the sessions will be decided as either 3x 20 min sessions per hour or 2 x 30 min sessions per hour, obviously depending on the entrants list as different number restrictions are enforced depending on the types of vehicles that are on the circuit at any one time.....example the more single seaters which turn up..... the less cars we are allowed on the circuit at any one time.

the day is advertised on several sites, japanese and french also,

race prepared cars are welcome as long as they don't exceed the circuit's noise limit which is 100db with 5% tolerance so 105.

Lap timing is not allowed as it is a recreational event and not a race, but my lap timer will be running...... :lol:

a list will be posted by the site administrator once i inform him in the next couple of weeks once enough confirmed entrants have comitted to book,

as far as PITLANE TOTTY is concerned sir we are there for the track experience...... not a max power day..... unless you want to bring some with you i see your car is a large 4 seater you and 3 lovelies then :lol:

if all goes well future events will have a professional Racing driver attending to give instruction to those who wish to have it.

Last time I was tested it hit 105db, that was at 3500rpm and 1 metre to the side of the exhaust at its loudest. I suspect it might exceed the 105db if you had to go to 5000rpm. It all depends on the test they use.....everything may be fine...just thought it should be checked.
You could always stick an old sock up the pipe to calm it :lol:

circuits normally test 1/2 a meter away at about 4000rpm or 2/3 max rpmfor the engine but they are quite lax at Croix as the last time we were there they never tested any cars and we changed our rear silencer on the spider for a louder one and no one bothered so I wouldn't worry unless your car is powered by a saturn 5 rocket :lol:

most high performance road cars are around 95-98db

and bling pipes are about 5db more :lol:

Thats nice....but my GTA with Davids straight through system has never tested at less than 100db and has been as high as 105db depending on how much I rev it and how much I lie about maximum revs!!!
No bling either.....just a useful noisy pipe pretending to be an exhaust system! :lol:

If you have 105, then yours must be "very high performance" !

Never mistake noise for performance! If you did then the Ford Mondeo I saw at MacDonalds last weekend would probably seem to be the fastest car in the world.......you may also think its 2 tone paint job and F1 spoiler would further enhance its performance :lol:

Unless they've changed in the last year, the french like loud exhausts.
In nearly 25 years of 'on/off' track days around france I've never seen a db meter.

But they are part of the EU so maybe it's changing....

Much as the French are very pro EUROPE and I leave it to you to guess why, they actually have the highest rate of all countries for ignoring the laws from Brussels.
