Tuning the alpine a110

Postby kevinrooney » Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:33 pm

I'm considering remap options for the alpine a110
1st is the Lichfield remap which involves their remapping your car to produce 295 BHB.
Racechip provide aplug and play option for about £500 which produces 305 bhp and a healthy increase in torque. Aside from the cost the racechip option does have the advantage that you don't have to take your car to get it tuned up. This would be a major consideration for me as I am based in Ireland. Any thoughts or advice welcomed.
Both offer some form of engine warranty but I'm not sure what happens if your gearbox gets cooked

I thought the gearbox was close to its torque limit as it was and so the only tuner I was considering for next year was Litchfield. I'll watch this thread with interest.

Have you looked at the Life110 ECU tune, might suit your needs?

Gearbox should still be well within limit at this level. Word from those in the know is failure at 400. Can’t remember if this was bhp or ftlb but both around 300 with the Litchfield map.
