Bonnet/Hood release/fixing

Postby 2001f4s » Sat Jan 01, 2022 7:40 pm

HI, and Happy New Year.
New here and to the Alpine. I have a 1992 GTA V6 Turbo. My question is in regards to the bonnet, or hood latch to us in the US.
I can see the cams turn when I move the bonnet actuator handle, however the driver's side (left) cam does not seem to engage the bonnet hook. Can someone direct me to a thread or assist me in what it takes to adjust/overhaul the bonnet latch mechanism. Is it just a matter of adjusting the hooks on the bonnet? Thanks Scott

Hi
if the two rotating parts are working and undamaged, then I think its just adjusting the bonnet strike pin so it engages properly.
On my car one side needed helping to engage with the cam with a bit of hand pressure.
the workshop manual doesn't say much...here is what is says...
Cheers
Lee

Thanks Lee. That sounds like exactly what is going on with my car. I will adjust the pin and give it a try. Much appreciated.
